1. About this policy
INQEW is software that helps contractors schedule work and communicate with their customers. This policy explains what information INQEW handles, why, and the choices available to you. It covers two different kinds of information, which are treated differently:
- INQEW's own data — information about contractors who use INQEW, people who request early access or contact us, and visitors to our website. INQEW decides how this information is used.
- Contractor customer data — information a contractor enters into INQEW about their own customers and projects. The contractor controls this information; INQEW provides the software used to store and process it on the contractor's behalf.
2. Information we collect about contractors and visitors
- Account information: name, email address and sign-in details. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) from Google.
- Company information: company name, contact email, phone, logo and similar settings you add to your workspace.
- Team information: crews, crew members and availability you enter.
- Early access requests: name, company name, email, trade type and optional phone number.
- Contact form messages: name, email and the message you send.
- Usage records: activity history within the app (for example, who changed a project status and when) and records of messages sent through INQEW.
- Technical information: our hosting and service providers may automatically process information such as IP address, browser type and request logs to deliver and protect the service.
3. Contractor customer data
Contractors may enter information about their customers and projects, including:
- Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and project addresses
- Project details, status, notes and scheduling information
- Scheduling preferences, availability and responses a customer submits through the customer portal
- Copies of emails sent to customers through INQEW and their delivery status
The contractor is responsible for this information, including having a lawful basis to collect it and to contact their customers. INQEW processes it only to provide the service to that contractor. If you are a customer of a contractor using INQEW, please contact that contractor directly with questions or requests about your information. We will help contractors respond where we reasonably can.
Customers access their project page through a private link sent by the contractor; no INQEW account is required. Anyone who has the link can view that page, so customers should not share it. Contractors can replace a link at any time, which stops the old link from working.
4. How we use information
- To provide, operate and maintain INQEW, including scheduling, the customer portal and messaging features
- To create and manage accounts and company workspaces, and to review early access requests
- To send service emails, such as beta approval notices and messages a contractor chooses to send to customers
- To respond to questions and support requests
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems
- To improve the product
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use contractor customer data for our own marketing.
5. Service providers
We use the following providers to run INQEW. They process information only as needed to provide their services:
- Lovable — application hosting, database and authentication infrastructure.
- Resend — email delivery for messages sent from INQEW.
- Google — optional "Sign in with Google", and web fonts loaded from Google Fonts (which means your browser connects to Google's servers when pages load).
Text message (SMS) sending is not currently available in INQEW. If we add SMS or paid subscriptions in the future, we will update this policy to name the providers involved before those features go live.
6. Cookies and local storage
INQEW uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items that are necessary for the app to work: keeping you signed in, remembering which company workspace you selected, and remembering whether the app sidebar is open. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools. You can clear cookies and storage in your browser, but you may then be signed out.
7. Sharing
We share information only:
- With the service providers listed above
- Within a contractor's workspace, with that contractor's authorized team members
- With a contractor's customer, limited to what the contractor makes visible in that customer's portal
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of INQEW, our users or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy
8. Security
We use access controls designed to keep each company's information separate from other companies, and we limit administrative access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your sign-in details and customer portal links private.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Early access requests and contact messages are kept until they are no longer needed for reviewing access or responding to you.
To request deletion of your account or company information, email privacy@inqew.com. Deletion requests are currently handled manually. Some records may be kept where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security. [Retention periods to be confirmed]
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email privacy@inqew.com. We may need to verify your identity. If your information was entered by a contractor, we may direct your request to that contractor.
11. Children
INQEW is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify account holders.
